Actually yes, it's supposed to poison spam harvesting data bases. The spam harvesters go after signature texts in an automated fashion and they specifically grab any whole string containing an (@) character in it. On previous messages before I was doing this, the spam harvesting software was grabbing the (<) and (>) signs normally used to wrap a signature and sending email to me with those wrapper characters still intact. Rot47 since you ask is an extension of rot13 that covers all 94 printable characters but does not encode or decode the (@) character leaving that intact. hion Rot47: <;F56]52D9:6==@?2GJ]>:=> -----Original Message----- From: programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx [mailto:programmingblind-bounce@xxxxxxxxxxxxx] On Behalf Of qubit Sent: Wednesday, February 03, 2010 10:55 To: programmingblind@xxxxxxxxxxxxx Subject: Re: Linux Again Seriously? oh, and what is the string of characters at the end of your mail? Someone on program-l, probably Mark Long who was the microsoft employee, I believe was the one who called attention to it. But like a lot of things microsoft puts out, I forget the details. Sorry I'm not more help. Maybe someone else knows what I'm talking about. --le ----- Original Message ----- From: "John J. It is virtually a full-fledged Linux. My computer is Vista also and Cygwin runs fine. Jaws does nicely with it.
