Ok, this is great!
And instead of telling me that I've made something good that helped a little to make GW Micro to think that this was a good improvement, you told me that it is not good to be negativist?

In fact, let me tell you something. I am not so negativist, but what I don't like the most are the rules made by others, and one of the stupid rule of living is that it is always good to be pozitivist, and never negativist, and I don't agree with that.

And I've just gave you the example of why it was better to be negativist and tell what you don't like, and here it is, it is helpful for other persons.

I think that there should be an equlibrium between the positive and the negative atitude, but most of the people prefer to be positive because they have more to earn with this attitude, even if they don't agree, even if they don't care, they use to say nice words which they don't believe, because "this way is nice". Well, this is what I don't like and I want to be always the devil's advocate because I don't like the discussions in which everyone agrees like those from some mailing lists for the blind that I won't remember here.

If there is something good, there are surely very many persons that will tell about them, but if there is something wrong, nobody will say anything, because "it is not nice", because other persons might be hurt, and other things like that.

I prefer somebody who is sincere and tells me something what I don't like, but something that could help me to improve, and not just to show the other people what an intelligent guy he is, but I don't like the persons that tell me nice words in which they don't believe.

By the way, regarding programming, I am not a real programmer. In fact I am an economist even though now I am working as a programmer also, but I care much about the productivity of the tools I use and that's why I don't like to change anything if it is not absolutely important to change. I don't have the time nor the effort or motivation to install and test many programs and text editors, and programming languages just to be able to make the same thing I was able to do in perl but just with another tool. I have just very very few specific requests that I cannot do with the tools I use, like the full support of UTF-8 in TextPad, the special chars reading in Jaws 7 or above, or UTF-8 support in Win32::GUI, and that's why I will try to use the WX widgets and I will try again to make those settings in Jaws 8, but I don't like to be a way-opener, an early tester. I am planning to start studying WX widgets for more days, but I will do it when I'll have some more free time.

If I would be able to use Jaws 8 well, of course I will start using it, and maybe Commodo will become more accessible, and maybe other programs also, but this doesn't mean that I will start to use it. I never liked to use 2 different programs that do the same thing, and if Commodo won't do absolutely everything TextPad does, and as fast and accessible as TextPad, then I won't use it.

If I'll consider Commodo better than Text Pad, I will even uninstall TextPad, because I won't have any reason to use a worse editor if I have a better one, but until then... I've just told my opinion in this moment.

I also said that Window Eyes is horrible. Well, I still think that, but if what you said is true and I can use a version of "Jaws named Window Eyes", with the same hotkeys, but just without the possibility of creating scripts for it, then I might say that I love Window Eyes... who knows.

Well I can tell you why I consider Window Eyes horrible. I also told this to an employee of GW Micro on a mailing list a few years ago, because this is what i think about that screen reader.
Is this a problem?

I consider it horrible because of its interface, because of set of hotkeys that need to be used.

I don't like to use the num pad, and Window Eyes forces us to use those keys.

I've suggested to make available a feature of changing the set of hotkeys used, for example to let us choose if we want to use the Window Eyes style, or the Jaws style, thinking that this could be a benefit for GW Micro.

Of course they didn't care about this. Well, I think my suggestion was a good and positive one, and their absence of reaction was a negative answer.

I don't think it would be very helpful to install again EditPlus and test it again just for reporting a bug, then to listen that my problem should not be reported as a problem because it is not a problem for others, or if it is still a problem... to find another editor or something else, but not to complain.

But I can tell you that I was searching for a text editor that allows setting more hotkeys for running the current file with different command lines that would be also able to accept command line parameters, like TextPad does, and very important, to capture the STDERR and STDOUT in another document window which should be accessible as any other document window. And it should also offer the possibility of searching and replacing using regular expressions, saving and reading UTF-8 files, with Win/Mac/Unix end of line.

If you review my email, you will not find a single statement that one
should not report problems with a program. My concerns are accuracy and
balance. They are concerns that others have also consistently expressed
about your list conduct on various topics. Unfortunately, you choose a
negative, stubborn mindset instead of learning how to be more
constructive and helpful to others. For example, in other message
threads today, you have
called Window-Eyes "horrible" as a sweeping generalization, despite
recent affirmations about how well it works with Komodo and Firefox, and
have dismissed someone's recommendation about EditPlus without giving
any specifics.

You resort to the wearisome excuse that you are just expressing an
opinion to which you have a right. No one is advocating censorship in
our discussions. Anything can be called an opinion, but we
deserve better.

It doesn't matter that Commodo is accessible for latest versions of Jaws which have their bugs, because I heard that nothing will be made to make it accessible to Jaws 6, so it is not a problem if I tell that Commodo is not
accessible for that version of Jaws. It won't be accessible after a few
months or years, so what I said will remain true.

Why don't you have a problem when someone says that he likes something, but
you do have a problem when someone says that he doesn't like something?
