Hi,
You are correct; TS splits the line where the cursor is placed. TF (Text
Flow) will do the opposite up to where the BNDS command determines is the
end of the information.
The best way to get a list of commands is to type HELP in the Command line
(and HELP a second time if this only gives a line of help in the bottom of
the screen). There is a huge amount of helpful info there if you are patient
enough to go through it.

It has been some time since I worked with ISPF. But I seem to recall
that TS is the test split command. The line will be split where the
cursor is positioned; placing the text to the right of the cursor onto a
new line.
There is good and accessible online HELP for TSO and ISPF - that is your
best place and learning how to get help will serve you well.
