I am not sure if we have plugins but go ahead and read the feature list.

Sure, I'll tell Goldwave to stop having their free version available, or for
Reaper to stop doing the same.

I take it you are then submitting that SR can do the same things these
things can do?

I'll definitely have to go see a feature list ... I'm expecting thousands
upon thousands of features, support for VST plugins, etc,
for that price.

I agree with you about Vinux not being ready for primetime. It doesn't
qualify as a ready operating system by any stretch of the
imagination, nor does any other *nix distro, with respect to comparable
accessibility, which is why I use Windows still.

Take care,
Sina

Nod and when you can use them as easy as you can sr then I will use them.
I agree 200$ is too much but I don't set the price.

I do however use whatever is easiest to use. I tried Vinux its free and it
crashed, it wouldn't update right, things don't work
easily, so for the time being I am again using windows and Mac. I use
windows more than Mac even on the Mac because windows is
easier. Price is not the way to judge things. I
use what works right, easily, and does everything I need. That's why I pay
for my editor because none of the free ones do what I want and that includes
Jamal's very good Ed sharp I just have some different
needs. I am willing to pay for things that work right. Now SR is in the
same category as gold wave are you going to tell them to
stop charging so much as well?

There is also Reaper, and some other programs as well.

$200 for anything other than an entire operating system is not only
ludicrous, but down right despicable.

I'd laugh, but I'm too busy being sick to my stomach at such an insane price
for anything.

Take care,
Sina

Sound recorder (SR) by APH is my tool of choice. It is $200 but it is the
most accessible and coolest sound tool made for blind
folks. If you don't have a volunteer yet let me know and I can see what I
can wack out.

You could use programs such as audacity to make that. It's not very
difficult but take some time.
