yes, but with the reading rate I am set at I had no chance to keep that from locking up my system, and don't appreciate it being out here to do so.

that type of communication can be done off list where it won't screw up other peoples stuff, and since I multi task, he killed several things in one fell swoop, so I'm even more aggravated than I was by off list matters!

I need to draw your attention to the line reading:
afternoon. WArning: word follows all the equal signs:
Now, that tells me that gosh, he's going to write this buzzword that
makes jaws go boom! And he did notify people that he was going to do so
after the equal signs, and even spaced it out. So lets drop the threats,
please? He was explaining the word to Sina, I believe it was who was
asking about it.

Pretty sure. Can't test it right now again though. I'm in the middle
of some homework for geology. It crashed me just fine earlier this
afternoon. WArning: word follows all the equal signs:

=====================

webhesday

If yours doesn't crash, wonder what's different about your machine.
I'm running Jfw 11.0.1447 on a 32 bit machine with windows xp sp3. I
opened up notepad and just typed it in and then tried reading what I'd
written and whamo, down she went. Had to bring up nvda to restore
speech long enough to restart.

Just don't read the bottom most comment with jaws. It contains a word
that
will cause a crash. That word w-e-b-h-e-s-d-a-y using eloquence, it will
crash your Jaws for real and you'll have to restart. Kinda cool,
actually
in a warped sort of way. If you don't believe me, take out the dashes
and
read the word with Jaws. No idea why.

That depends on what Work entails. NVDA does a pretty good job with
what it can do, but it's powers of extensability have nothing
equivalent to the scripting facilities found in the commercial Windows
screen readers.
But it is free, just drop it on a flash drive and take it to work.
Give it a try. Worst case scenario you're out a half hour's
tinkering or whatever.

Does anyone know how efficient NVDA actually is as a screen reader?
