Thanks for the tips. I'll follow-up by following the file dir links you
posted earlier.

Thanks, Matthew. <blush> FileDir can seem overwheling at first because
of the number of commands available. Let me share these tips for
learning in case they help:
* Start by using the program like Windows Explorer, where arrow keys
navigate the items in a folder, Enter opens one, Control+A selects all,
and Control+C copies.
* Make use of the MDI environment, where Control+O opens another folder
to view and Control+Tab cycles among open windows.
* Use Alt+Shift+H for a hotkey summary, or Alt+F10 for an alternate
menu that lists every available command and its keystroke in a standard
listbox. You can use initial letter navigation there, Control+J to jump
to an item based on text it contains, or Alt+J to jump to the next
match.

This little utility certainly do seem to meet the "as seen on TV" maximum
productivity label. I heard a main menu review of Jamal's File Dir
utility
and was amazed at what this thing was able to do--beat the pants off of
the
ginsu knives. The features seemed endless--in comparison to the romco
food
processor and the abdominizer. I am not using it because the many
features
made me feel as though I would probably spend lots of time learning how
to
use it. ...now that I think of it, maybe I should look into it again as
I'm
currently having to look through many folders and subfolders searching
endlessly for files???
