Well, the result is that some .doc documents can't be well used under Linux if 
they contain ActiveX objects.

This wouldn't be a problem if all or most of the users would use Open Office 
only, but most of the users still use MS Office, especially by businesses, and 
especially by businesses that don't have anything in common with the iT field.
