Hi Jim,
Now all we need is for Craig to agree.
That patch will expose us to something like the flaw below. But currently most
tabs seem to be absorbed via backspace and I don't consider this very much of
an obstacle anyway.

This was really a problem with termios and emulation. Now that top defaults to
using his own line input logic (TERMIOS_ONLY not defined), it can't happen.
