Hi Craig,--
Attached are 2 sets of equivalent changes, one each for the master and
newlib branches.
There are some miscellaneous patches whose title or commit message
should be self explanatory.
And here's my reasoning behind the others.
* 0002-top-show-fewer-decimal-places-for-memory-by-default.patch
I've reduced the maximum number of decimal places for memory from 3 to 1
in both the Summary and Task areas. This should help with issues #50
and #53. However, former behavior can be restored with a slightly
altered configure option.
* 0003-top-provide-E-command-line-switch-for-memory-scaling.patch
I've raised scaling to MiB for Summary area memory when built with
'--disable-modern-top' which should help with redhat bug #1034466. And
the -E command line switch was added to force any desired scaling
independent of the rcfile. Both of these changes should benefit issue #53.
* 0004-top-provide-1-command-line-switch-as-Cpu-s-toggle.patch
This adds a -1 command line switch to accommodate the default build
(--enable-modern-top) in the absence of an rcfile. It addresses issue #55.
When these are pushed I'll notify the appropriate issue topics.
Regards,
Jim
