Interesting topic. BTW, this sort of discussion makes it worth while to 
keep the list going.

I did 2 runs, one with my usual lot of Applications open and the other with 
just a few open (see difference below.

Hi All,

given the discussion on speed recently, I thought it might be a good idea 
to see how fast each of our respective computers are... Might make me think 
about an upgrade if it's really worth it...

So, we have a speed contest.  If those interested can run the system that I 
have posted below, and report their results, along with their machine 
specifications (processor, ram, o/s)..  The test period is from 01 Jan 2003 
to 31 Dec 2003.  Final speed will be calculated as "time per meeting 
considered" for those who have slightly different meetings 
downloaded.  Winners get bragging rights until a faster machine comes 
along!!! :-)
