      Ambassador's Message
     
        
            

             
            
      On this happy occasion, I have the distinct pleasure, on behalf of the 
Indonesian community living in Saudi Arabia, to welcome the president of the 
Republic of Indonesia, Dr. H. Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono and first lady Madame 
Hj. Ani Bambang Yudhoyono on their state visit to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia 
from April 25-29. I would also like to welcome all the accompanying 
distinguished delegates. I do hope and pray for the success of this very 
important visit.

      It is my conviction that this historical visit would boost relations 
between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia and the two countries will continue to 
explore new areas of cooperation for mutual benefit and peoples' well being in 
the future. The visit of the Indonesian president would further reinforce the 
strong bond of friendship, which both countries already enjoy.

      Observing the records of relationship between Indonesia and Saudi Arabia, 
I am pleased to note that over the years, both countries have steadily 
developed a very cordial and warm relationship based on shared political, 
economic and social interests. Indonesia and Saudi Arabia have shown identical 
views and approaches on bilateral, regional as well as international issues of 
common concerns. The two countries also share common position concerning the 
issues of Muslim Ummah.

      I pray to the Almighty Allah to bless the two nations - Indonesia and 
Saudi Arabia - with continued progress, peace and prosperity. Ameen.
