Thanks for your email. I found in the archives (to which Hendri pointed me) an indication that the solution was to replace the config.ps file. This worked for me. I tried changing the paper argument from paper=screen to paper=a4paper (*after* replacing the config.ps file) and found that it made no further difference, as far as I could discern.
