No problem ;)

When you are using apt-get on debian packages or rpm in fedora or
redhat, all the basic steps for tex/latex installation are gather in the
creation of that package. If you know a little bit of debian creation of
packages, you may try to create the debian package (if you need help I
can try also). 

Other thing, Hendri, if you want to have the rpm package for powerdot, I
will create the spec file for fedora core 3 and 4.
