It interests me. Is this "backslide" already implemented somewhere ?
it's the blackslide class option ;-) See the docs.
Absolute coordinates of objects in LaTeX are too hard to handle for me.
BTW, have you any idea of how to obtain the current position of a text
on a page relatively to one of the slide corners or to some hooks?
Not really possible as there is some postscript in between in
powerdot. In (La)TeX (eg article class) it's a whole different story
as there TeX's line- and pagebreaking algorithms come into play and
hence you only know for certain where material has been placed when
TeX has shipped out the page. That is too late. That's why it has
things like inserts (eg footnotes) to help you attach things to the
text, wherever this text appears.
