Sure Ethan,

I'm using the Lightroom 4 beta which is a free download and will work until the end of March. If you have Photoshop, the Adobe Camera Raw will do this in a very similar way but since it is based on older code you will have to make adjustments to suit, but you'll do this anyway.

Anyone else interested in improving the processing please join in and post your take.

Crop: I cropped this fairly severely, but for web use it's fine. For printing large you'll have to reclaim some pixels.
WB: use the eyedropper tool to click on the gray sky for starters.
Temp +7;
Tint +4;
Exposure +.90
Contrast +13
Highlights +18
Shadows +20
Whites +13
Blacks  0

Clarity +9
Vibrance +7

Tone Curve (Linear setting) Highlights 0
Lights +33
Darks +17
Shadows+11

Sharpening +50
Radius 1.0
Detail 33
Masking 0

NR
Luminance 10 (the jpeg rendering from the camera already fixed NR, plus @ISO 100 there ain't much there)
Detail 50
Contrast 24
Color 13
Detail 50

Lens Corrections:
Doesn't show up on my setup, but if it does on yours use it, it makes a difference.

Process: 2012 [2010 will work fine with older software but 2012 is better in LR4]
Profile: jpeg embedded. If this was an original RAW shot, then use a lighter more neutral rendering profile like Portrait.

And that's it.

Thanks, Michael. I?m not very adept at PhotoShop, but was hoping someone could provide some suggestions about how to improve that image in particular. The other ones are better exposed.

Cheers,
Ethan

Ethan,

I never received I and II; I'm sure they are back of the que and will get to my email inbox in a few hours. Happens now and then.

Anyway, without seeing the others, have you attempted to apply some lightening and white balance correction with software on these?  This third picture can be improved exponentially. You have the baseline image captured well indeed.
