Job Posting: Web Developer 
 
Reporting to Playground's Internet Systems Analyst, the Web Developer will
work on a small team building and maintaining Internet systems. This person
will develop and maintain web applications and web sites for both internal &
external use.

General Job Description
 
Develop new intranet applications
  - Digital asset management application
  - Physical library cataloguing system
  - Digital photo library
  - HR & Finance applications
  - Upgrade discussion forums
  - Upgrade news article application
 
Hone development processes
  - Participate in R&D of rapid development processes, including XP and
traditional RAD 
  - Participate in development of network-wide web dev standards
 
Expand content management implementation
  - Learn Atomz Publish content management system
  - Expand CMS implementation on intranet & external web sites
  - Participate in development of global 'RapidLaunch' templates for web
sites
  - Build global-use applications for multiple web sites: calculators,
contact forms, etc.
 
Maintain web sites & intranet
  - Perform routine updates
  - Correct bugs
  - Respond to web site emergencies
 
Integrate internal systems
  - Integrate eLearning system with intranet
  - Integrate HRIS system with intranet
  - Integrate employee database with intranet
 
Improve speed and stability of internet architecture
  - Lead audits of server security and stability
  - Develop and implement change management system for web sites
  - Develop and implement source control for 3rd-party web developers
  - Implement and maintain separate development, staging and production
environments

Required Skills & Experience
 
  - Expert with ASP, ASP.Net, SQL, HTML
  - ASP.Net can be learned on-the-job if candidate has expert-level skills
in other areas
  - Skilled with JavaScript, PhotoShop, CSS, IIS
  - Strong demonstrable skills developing & maintaining web sites
  - Minimum two years' experience developing enterprise-level web apps
  - Experience with server administration and other programming languages an
asset
  - GUI or graphic design experience an asset
  - Degree in Computer Science or commensurate experience
