I see, er... it's called physicist (unlike mathematician to mathematics;
although it is similar to chemist to chemistry; chemist also means tukang
obat.). BTW aku juga udah lama nggak sempat nglukis.

Di UK sampai kapan? Sampai capek aja sih... Ada kawan yang pernah kasih
nasehat: "Don't try this at home" (Don't go home). Indonesia nggak butuh
aerodynamicist maupun fluid mechanist, kan?

Mau bilang Indonesia berkembang fisikanya kok ya nggak tega. Emang selalu ada
satu dua anak cerdas (most of the time must be berduit as well) tapi it does
not reflect the situation. Ada dua pertanyaan fisika level SMA, satu tentang
difraksi dan interferensi cahaya, satu tentang konsep dasar :

Kenapa demikian?
2. Apa kegunaan utama dimensi. (Topik bab pertama Fisika kelas 1 SMA kurikulum
kita dulu)

You'd be surprised how many murid SMA so called "juara kelas" find it
difficult to answer those.

Sadly, sampai saat ini the US is the undisputed leader due to strong research
funding. Europe might have comparable human resources (physicst) but certainly
not the funding. As far as Asia is concern, Japan is the undisputed leader. In
turbulence fluid flow research, that is my major, (fluid mechanics is one of
the major field within physics), the US scientist can perform quite detail
turbulence flow simulation (using computer) over a whole aircraft relatively
easily in a university, whereas in europe such thing can only be done in large
institution with strong goverment or multinational corporation backing.
Presently, we simply can not match the US computing power (that directly
related to strong research funding).
