[phpa] load: librt.so.1 fails (or, SunOS 5.6)?

Hello. Has anyone successfully installed the Accelerator on a Solaris box
running SunSO 5.6 (as opposed to 5.8)?
I realize the distribution is for Solaris 8.
I've tried, however, to install the program on such a system. It does at least
attempt to load the Accelerator extension, but the Apache error log reports
>Failed loading /usr/local/Zend/lib/php_accelerator_1.2p4.so: ld.so.1:
>/usr/local/apache/bin/httpd: fatal: librt.so.1: open failed: No such file or
>directory
I don't hold out much hope, but I'd just wondered if anyone had been successful
on a similar system. Unfortunately, upgrading the box to Solaris 8 is not
possible in the near future.
TIA.
