Well MaxClients would have been reached if Apache reported that. Just
because it may be a large number doesn't mean that it didn't happen :-)
What version of phpa did you download, and if it was release 1.2p3, please
can you send the entire apache error log from the restart to the time when
you had problems to nick@xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx Please gzip or bzip2 it
first if it's more than 100K or so. If not 1.2p3, then please can you try
that version if it's available for your configuration.
