[phpa] PHPAccelerator serious problem

Hi,

I don't know if this is the right place to post a Bug report, but I hope 
someone can find my post useful.

First our configuration:
- Apache/1.3.23 (Unix) mod_perl/1.26 PHP/4.1.2
- PHP build with this configuration:
'./configure' '--with-mysql=/var/lib/mysql/' 
'--with-apxs=/usr/local/apache/bin/apxs' 
'--with-oci8=/opt/oracle/product/817' '--enable-sigchild' 
'--with-config-file-path=/usr/local/apache/conf/' '--with-ldap' 
'--with-imap' '--with-imap-ssl' '--with-zlib'
- php_accelerator-1.3.1pre3_php-4.1.1_linux-glibc2.2.4

When I have installed PHPAccelerator everything looked right for a few 
days, but we run into a really serious problem as soon as we issued an 
apachectl graceful command.

This command caused all the httpd processes to became zombie; as zombie we 
could not kill them and the only way to restart apache was to reboot the 
system.

Soon after the reboot, all the PHP applications we have that uses Oracle 
(PHProjekt and Achievo) could not work; Mantis (a PHP application that uses 
MySQL) did work fine.

To solve this problem I had to reinstall PHP from scratch.

At the moment we have disabled PHPAccelerator and we are running with Zend 
Optimirer.
