[phpa] Re: Error during the start of httpd

According to Zeev from Zend (and I have an email from him that states this),
there is actually no speed increase with the Zend Accelerator over the Zend
Cache. He said that unfortunately their publicity material was misleading
;-) I'm not in a position to say whether this is the case or not.

If anyone is able to do some performance tests then that's always
interesting. Personally I have no plans (or the time) to do so currently.

There are some things in PHPA that if developed further should push the
performance ahead of Zend Cache/Accelerator, and then some more tests would
be worthwhile.

I'm not out to beat Zend in any way - I'm just happy to produce something
that everyone can afford and that's useful, and so my priorities are firmly
and only in that direction.

Are you going to update the benchmarks to reflect the (rumoured) increase
in performance of the Zend Accelerator?

cheers!
Peter.
