Actually, the program uses the exact same repetition operator and operand in
several other places, and Linux isn't complaining about those, so I don't know
what the problem could be. Try this; insert this line after 317:
echo "$Chop<BR>";
Run the program (with error template output) and send me the resulting page as
an attachment by email.
As for compiling, if you're familiar with compiling programs on Linux, PHP is
really quite simple. Even if you aren't it's quite simple - PHP was the first
program I ever compiled on a Unix system.
