In your  list below I don't see the driver for the ftdi chip.

(By installing this one, the usb interface appears in windows as a serial
interface ie as  COM port. Check DM in Windows and see if the USB serial
device is listed)

The Expeyes Website lists a driver given below
Please ensure whether it is compatible with Win7
