Look at the Task Manager and be sure it really is running.
Look under Services and be sure Remote Procedure Call (RPC) is
not set to disabled or manual, it usually has to be on auto.
(It's the dependency for the Spooler service).

Depending on what type of AV software/internet security package
you're running, that could be causing it. I use KIS7 and it
was on occasion blocking my Spooler service. I had to add it
to the trusted zones.

Also, if you have more than one printer or printer type app
installed, try setting the 5300 as the default printer if it's
not. The other day, some how some flash printer was made
default and I had problems printing.

I have a laptop that is wireless and it shares a printer from
another
laptop.

It is one of these AIO types a Kodak 5300 and usually works ok
but I
must have done something wrong. I can not print anymore.
when I go to printers (on the wireless laptop)and try to check
properties it says my printer spooler service is not working.
Yet when I
check the spooler in services it appears fine. I restart the
spooler but
that does not fix it.
Any ideas?
