If it is free, the connection is not secure between the laptop and access
point. Someone can sniff and data and you will need a firewall software
installed.

If you use TMobile or ATT, install their wifi app before you go. You will
have to pay a hour/day/month charge (which ever you wish) (Most ATT DSL Home
Service login info will give you free access to the ATT hotspots.)

Their app will install a security certificate and will secure the connection
between your laptop and the access point. Firewall is still needed.

Also watch your USB ports. Someone stick a USB drive with Auto Run files and
they can run trojens (Open up back door, steal ID, do other bad stuff) and
other crap, so never leave your laptop anywhere.

Thank you,
Eric Vogel
