[PCWorks] DVD burner life span

I've noticed LG dvd burners seem to last only about 1000 sessions before
failing sets in. So I'm switching to LiteOn now, and probably the SATA
connected units as well.
What other brands are other people using, ie. Plextor, Pioneer, Sony?
