Hello Group,
I need the benefit of your experience. Has anyone tried the instructions below.
My swap file gets huge and I'm wondering if that's why I get cut off from the
internet so much.
Hal seems to struggle at times and I need to use Win Ram Turbo Free to get some
oomph back and quite often this is when I get cut off.
Windows is managing the swap file at the moment but shows 0 minimum and no
maximum. I have 120mbs RAM so if I follow the instructions my setting should be
300....... Max? , Min?
Send me your pearls of wisdom pleeeeaase!

To take control of your swap file, right-click My Computer and choose
Properties. Click the Performance tab and the Virtual Memory button. Choose
"Let me specify my own virtual memory settings." If you have more than one hard
drive, place the swap file on the fastest drive you have. Now choose a minimum
size for the swap file; a good starting point is to specify at least 2.5 times
your system's RAM. Setting a large minimum size means the swap file will
usually be large enough for your needs. Reboot when asked, and run Defrag to
ensure the swap file's all in one piece. After you're done, you should
experience noticeably less disk-thrashing.
