-=PCTechTalk=- sound again- sorry

Hello Group, 
Sorry to be a pain but the sound has gone again. I checked System 
Info-tools-direct x diagnostic tool and it came  up with "DX diag error- 
problem getting extra sound info result code = 0x80070057
(Invalid argument(s) ).  Who's arguing????

I went through the usual help and testing stuff which told me to check my sound 
card. The odd thing is that whatever the prob is , it seems to be intermittent. 

I followed more instructions that sent me to Multimedia-audio. CMedia is 
checked as the preferred device but there is an option- use any available 
device.......... I'm tempted.........

This problem is giving me the .........'s and I am trying to be so patient. I 
would hate this  to beat me.. there has to be an answer.  The gizzards in this 
PC have all been cleaned out recently by the tec from hell (saw him blow the 
dust out) so it shouldn't be that....TaDa!!!! I know!! A GOOD SWIFT KICK IN THE 
.........ok, I'm back in  control now..........and that's another thing....why 
has the font decided to change all on it's own????
I will now depart for a hit of caffeine , Group and hope someone can help me.
