I'm replacing the mobo and processor in a friends computer. Using a ECS
GeForce6100PM-M2 V 2.0 board with a AMD Athlon 64 X2 4200 CPU. Her RAM
was DDR and this needs DDR2. Had two one gig sticks I bought on sale
recently. It's Rendition DDR2 5300 NonEEC DIMMS. Can't get the board to
boot with it. Borrowed a stick of Gskill from my son. and booted fine.
Is there some way I can adjust Bios settings to make this RAM work, or
do I just need to get some more.
Jo Ann
