-=PCTechTalk=- Zone Alarm settings with a network

I have a wireless network consisting of a 4-port Belkin router, Desktop =
PC, and laptop with built-in wireless. I am not using Windows to manage =
the network on the laptop, I'm using the Atheros client that came on the =
unit. I'm running Zone Alarm free edition on both computers. Exactly =
what is the best setup on components in the Firewall section on the =
Zones tab? Do I need to have both of my Desktop's Ethernet ports set up =
here, the Atheros client from the laptop, the router, etc.? If so, =
should they all be in the Internet Zone, or all in the Trusted Zone, or =
some in one and some in the other? I am not letting my computers obtain =
an IP address automatically, but have set up the specific IP addresses =
from the router as well as Cox's DNS address. Do I need to have =
either/all of the Desktop Name or the Laptop Name set up as a Host/Site, =
and if so, which Zone? And do I need to have the DNS Server IP address =
set up here, and if so, which Zone? =20

I've tried different variations of settings here, some of which allowed =
my desktop to see the laptop, but the laptop would not see the desktop. =
I read in a forum that you should have all your Ethernet ports and such =
set up in the Internet Zone, and set up your PC names in the Trusted =
Zone as a Host/Site. If this is correct, should it be this way on both =
the desktop and laptop, or is it more important to have it this way on =
the main desktop that's hard wired to the router? I haven't been =
networking very long and the firewall settings can be confusing. I'm =
seeing what is allowing everything to see everything else, but I want to =
know how secure it is and if there is a better and more secure way.

Thanks.
