-=PCTechTalk=- XP problem

I downloaded and installed 4 games today from Gamehouse.  Now I'm haveing
problems with XP.  It takes 2 + minutes for the desktop to load. Only the
speaker and time is seen in the lower right corner.  ZA, AVG, Treatfire do
not show up.  Tried to uninstall the games but the uninstall part does not
work. Tried using revo uninstaller but it locks up in the second part of the
uninstall. That's where it runs the program uninstall.   tried doing a
restore but that will not open.
 I think I must have picked up a bug in one of the games.
Any ideas on what to try before I do a reformat.
