Hi Kids,
MS had a major breakdown of their Windows Genuine Advantage site a
couple of days ago. The effect is that people have had their Windows
XP/Vista (both 32 & 64 bit) installations declared invalid by the
service/feature/annoyance of WGA.
I haven't seen anything come through here to indicate that this affected
any of you fine folks, but if it did, the article below says it's been fixed
and you should re-validate your copy of WinXP/Vista at the WGA page
(http://www.microsoft.com/genuine/). Please note that the re-validation
only applies if your copy was ruled invalid by WGA while the site was on the
fritz. This would have happened if you had tried to update certain parts of
Windows or other specific MS products during that time. You would
definitely know if you were affected.

Of course, if this doesn't apply to you, please count your blessings and
disregard this post. :O)
Peace,
GMan
