SInce installing Windows2000Pro SP1 my DVD-ROM will not play DVD discs, or
even recognize one as being in the tray. It will play CD's, data, Mp3's n/p.
Rips without a hitch copying to CD-RW drive. I have WinDVD, codecs etc...
Wondering if the DVD-ROM being a secondary slave to the CD-RW could be a
problem? Or not? All was fine before reformat/ clean W2K install. Drives are
as follows:
C: HDD Primary master
D: CD-RW Secondary master
E: DVD-ROM Secondary slave
DMA is activated for both optical drives.
Thanks for any wisdom,
john
