-=PCTechTalk=- Transferring to new PC, new O/S....?

I know some of you have been thru this before... d];>]} (Hopefully?)

Anyway, I'm soon going to buy a new PC with (of course) WinXP installed. As
my current older Win98-using PC has a Zip writer but no CD writer, I figure
I'll have to dump my existing files onto a Zip disk, and then buy an
external Zip drive (about $50) to plug into the new PC's USB hubs to reload
my files onto the new PC.....

Much of this seems pretty straight forward to me. Data files out, data files
in. No problem... -Except for how do I transfer the tricky stuff, like my
Outlook Express 5 email files, to WinXP? Also what about my DSL software
(Verizon-Yahoo)? Is that transferable also, or will I have to re-install it
all again? (Which is a giant pain inna butt, as it means all new passwords
and email addresses again, right?)

Any clues you can provide for this clueless one will be sincerely cherished
and appreciated....  d];>]}

Merci,
Greywoulf
