OK. Here's a new one.... I backed up my Thubnderbird accounts and settings by copying the profile folder to a safe location. I then did a clean install of Win7 and re-installed Thunderbird and then copied the profile folder to the appropriate location. On launch of Thunderbird I get an error message saying that T'bird is already running and I need to close it or restart the computer. It is not running and restarting the computer does not help.
