Hi Ted...

If I remember correctly, it means - The Meadows... and if I am wrong.. feel
free to fire me! lol!
I believe, as the story goes that when people wandered through the dessert
and came upon what is now called Las Vegas, they referred to it as The
Meadows.

To me it means a place that does not get too cold in the winter... and gets
too hot in the summer and has more to offer than most places I have ever
been to. It has good food, reasonable housing, great shopping, good
weather, variety, low taxes, peace & quiet or a wild night life and clubs if
you want them, great entertainment and an opportunity to meet lots of folks
who you originally meet on line. You can live in this town and not even
know there are casinos around and live like you would anywhere else with
more amenities than most places. Living in the fastest growing area in the
country makes for interesting times. I would not trade them.

It can also mean more company than any place else as everyone (well lots
anyway) want to come to Vegas. I know that I always wanted to come to Vegas
and never dreamed I would live here. Now, I cannot imagine living anywhere
else.

Take care Ted,
Rose
