I am periodically losing the Task Bar. The last few days it has been
disappearing and then re-appearing. This morning it was gone and nothing I
did would make it appear. There was a blank area at the bottom of the
screen so it was not just hiding. I went to C Drive to find Outlook Express
and put a shortcut on my desktop and I searched until I found the key
strokes guide I had saved ages ago. I used the keystroke to display the
start menu and logged off and then re-started my computer. This brought
everything back but I am wondering if this is indicative of problems to come
of a more serious nature? Any ideas anyone.
I have Windows XP Pro, a 40 gig hard drive, on a custom made computer.
Latest thing I have done is download a large number (6 or 7) themes (Thomas
Kinkade) that came with demo screensavers. I paid $5. a piece to register
the screensavers. They are beautiful and I hate to think of having to lose
them by using system restore to correct my problem. But if I must then I
will.
I would appreciate any input from you guys and hopefully a less drastic
solution.
Joyce
