-=PCTechTalk=- System Restore problem/question

I thought I had a video problem, new drivers did not help but I remember the 
problem started when I uninstalled Microsoft.net framework, version 1.1 as the 
ATI fourms said prolems unless version 2.0. I had it installed, 1.1 and 2.0 so 
I removed 1.1 and video problems. I created a System Restore point and I kept 
going back through my restore points to where it asctually made changes and it 
took a long time! That fixed the video problem so it was the .net file so I go 
back to System Restore and choice the Restore Point I created but no changes 
were made. No biggie as soon I need to reformat but incase it comes up again, 
why can't system restore revert back to the restore point I made? Actually, I 
tried several system checkpoints and when programs were installed and tried to 
restore to those but after the restore ran no changes were made to the system?
