-=PCTechTalk=- Reel1 problem.

In April I downloaded and installed the newest version of Realone so I
could listen to the baseball games on the net. I live well outside the
area that is considered the home area for the team I follow. Yes I did
purchase the package so I could listen to the games. When I first tried
it the broadcast would stop about 5 seconds into the game. It would take
2 or 3 reconnects before it would "take". I called support and the
"tech" said it sounded like I didn't get a good download, and to try
again. After an uninstall and then a new dll and install all was good.
Now the problem I have is that when I get "pinged" I lose the connection
to the game. When I go to reconnect to the game sometimes it takes on
the 1st try sometimes on the 2nd or 3rd try.
It is not always the same company that attempts to ping me. I have
called reel1 support and they say it's not a problem on there side. The
first time this happened it was from one of the vericheck (?sp) sites. A
quick call to there office in Calf. got that fixed. they have not pinged
me again.
I have Win98SE, I use the free ZA to block access. which is how I know
who has been trying to get to my machine.
Anybody have any Ideas, or should I just say the hell with it and just
keep reconnecting every time.
Thanks.
Steve
