Subject: -=PCTechTalk=- xp - internet

good morning all (well it is here)
i now have a problem with my pc.

when moving from page to page on the internet the page starts to=
 load ok then when its
nearly fully loaded the page seems to refresh itself then all we=
get is this page cannot be
displayed, i then click on refresh and sometimes the page=
displays, most of the time it
does not, so i then have to click on back and start again=
clicking on the link that i want
to get to.
i have reset my internet explorer internet security zone back to=
 medium (from custom).
i have done full virus scan (avg is set to update and scan every=
 day) and found nothing.
i ran spybot this found nothing unusual.
my broadband (ntl cable) has a program (correct connect ) that=
 sits in the system tray
and tell me if my internet is ok and it have a self test, that=
 says my computer -
connection and applications are all ok.
so i then i thought i would make use of that great xp feature=
 system restore and roll
back a week or two, but all my restore points have gone.

im now getting very close to typing those words -------- format=
 etc.

anybody got any ideas as to what could be the cause of this ?

im using -
windows xp home
avg anti virus
zone alarm pro
internet explorer
