It is asking for premier SR or something. I had my disks but probably
buried somewhere at moms house, who knows where. I just wondered why
installing that other version hosed it up cause I know it did.
I may break down and try installing the 2007 again and NOT install anything
BUT powerpoint and word, no excell yet, no access, no outlook or other mess.
Im a bit shaky though after the other night ;0 and not in the mood for a
repeat performance tonight of that ;0. When I am less tired, I would like
to inquire more on how you do what you said below about having it on the
hard drive available. I sis uaw poqwepoinr 2003 at work today and did the
ole pack and go actually called (package CD) on that version, worked like a
charm except a popup came up saying macros would not be enabled when
packaged this way.."sigh". I'm just going to send the powers to be a link
to the 60 day trial of the full version and let them go at it. lol..it is is
not good enough, oh well that is all I can offer at this point, have
exhausted all other options

Office's Add/Remove entry has its own repair utility, but it relies on you
being able to supply the original install disk so it can copy files it needs
to make those repairs. Any way you can get ahold of an Office 2000 install
disk? It would need to be of the same type as the one you have installed
(student, pro, premier, etc.). You don't need or want the lender's install
serial number (that would be illegal), but all of the install disks of a
single type are identical. If you can find someone who has the same
version/type, you can copy the entire contents to your hard drive and direct
the registry to that so that it's always available. I do this with my OS
install disks, so I'm never asked to "insert Windows install disk".
