My ISP provides 10 email addresses with every DSL account.  I harly ever use 
them, though.  By rpelying on Gmail and other free email servers, I avoid 
all sorts of issues like this.  I only use the ISP supplied accounts for 
'official' stuff like job hunting, dealing with governmental agencies, etc.
