ns,
Thanks. I've tried to get to their web again, also. I had already dl
the BIOS update, but haven't installed it yet. I wanted to ensure it was the
right update.
My original problem started when I had the techs install WinME on a new
HDD. My system hardly ever crashed before, and now it crashes all the time.
So, I figure the only thing that changed was the HDD, and maybe the settings
in the OS install.
I'm also interested in adding more ram. I looked at system info, and it
said the following;
Total physical Memory 235.45MB
Available Physical Memory 96.51 (This bothers me, I don't know what it means)
DRAM Integrity Mode - Disabled (I don't know what it means)
AGP Aperture size - 64MB (I don't know what it means)
AGP Mode - 4x (I don't know what it means)
When I cont/alt/del, or msconfig, I have the bare minimum programs running.
I think I'm rambling on, but it's getting frustrating trying to figure out
why the crashes are happening. I have the XP Home upgrade sitting next to my
desk -- that's my next step if I need to upgrade.
Whew! thanks,
HB
