Hi all, I finally got the right "cord" to record from my stereo to my
computer and it worked using my creative live blaster recorder.  However,
the tape that I really wanted to record, I had little success with.  My
other tapes recorded okay.  This particular tape is not great quality but I
can hear it with the volumen up good enough.  But the recorder did not seem
to pick it up at all maybe a whisper.  I dont understand because I could
hear it fairly loud even though it is poor quality.  Its a recording of my
brother singing and playing guitar.  He passed away about three years ago,
and I was hoping to do something with it.  Now, I must settle for recordings
of "me" singing instead ...;0, some not so bad but I only used a cheap
little tape cassette deck to record it in the clubs and all.

I am looking for a way to improve and make them sound professional quality
heheh lol...anyways anyone have a clue about my poor quality tape?  I used a
1/4" to 1/4" plug with an 1/8" adapter.  I plugged in the headset hole on
the stereo, and in the line in plug on the computer.  I set my recorder for
"line in " source and volume up.  When his tape was being recorded, I could
see the lines showing that it was picking up, not as much as my tapes but
seemed enough.  Also wondered should I stick to mp3 files.  I did figure out
how to convert the wave it made to mp3 with my creative wave studio.
