I started out on the net with AOL then went to earthlink, Finely got DSL at 
that place (bell) I moved and could only get cable, was happy with it but was 
off a lot, I moved again and am so out in the sticks (1/2 mile from the 
courthouse) that all I had for well over 2 years was dialup, We got DSL here at 
last, I went with earthlink high speed but couldn't get more speed than there 
basic should have got, I told them I wanted basic $10.00 a month cheaper, They 
canceled my high speed then told me I couldn't get DSL here. I sent back the 
modem and went to SBC I got the high speed at the price earthlink wanted for 
basic, well earthlink goes through SBCs server here anyway. I am getting around 
1300kbs for downloads, bellsouth gets around 1500kbs. that sure beats the 4 or 
5kbs I was getting on dialup.

  thanks, actually had this account already but am only on it during the
  summer.  I need another dial up service though and may try Earthlink.  This
  is my cable connection at mom's house.  I need to call aol and tell them to
  go away.  I had tried that about a year ago also and was given a free month
  or even three free months cant recall now.
