> There's a free version and a pay version. The pay version is called
Trillian Pro v2.0. The free version is called Trillian Basic v0.74E. I have
the pay version, and with the pay version you need to apply the Yahoo patch,
which is only available to subscribers. With the free version, there's also
a patch, but its not a Yahoo fix. It specifically says its not the Yahoo
fix. By the looks of it, its possible that for the basic version they just
have not fixed the yahoo problem, cause I'm not seeing anything on there
regarding patching the free version for Yahoo. Maybe someone else on here
that uses the free Trillian can confirm that.
> Also... take note that there's a Trillian Pro v2.0 "BETA" version going
around. Obviously, you shouldn't be using the beta anymore since the main
one is out. So, if he has that, Yahoo will not work properly.

opened up my Trillian and it worked fine. So, apparently its ok and hasn't
been tweaked yet. What version does your friend have, cause it should work
fine with Yahoo.

but I rarely even open my icq - most of my friends have changed to yahoo -
and I just have AIM mainly from talking to my son when he was away trying
out college! Now I have my daughter's friends on it and a few of mine. But
even running 2 take up a fair amount of resources.

will not log off. I'm sure the Trillian guys will patch it again shortly.

yahoo changing a security thing in it which prevents it from working with
trillian - but that trillian is working on a work around. Do you know
anything about it?

all my chat contacts (ICQ, MSN, AIM, Yahoo), I just rotate it. I use
Trillian, so all my chat clients are operational at the same time without
having to run 4 different chat programs. My old "one way" signature included
all my contact info. This way I just rotate it using the SigMan. Most people
know how to contact me anyways.
