If you delete them, and your printer goes bonkers, then you have some corrupt
files, bad files, bad printer driver, messed up machine, or anything else that
isn't right. In other words, there is absolutely no reason whatsoever that the
Window's temp files should effect the printer... or, of course, unless someone
specifically installed printer files in there, in which case they messed up and
they shouldn't have done that.
But, short of that, "Windows" temp files, in the location you described, should
not do that to your printer. If you're nervous about it, create another folder
and just move all the files to that other folder. Keep it there until you are
satisfied that removing the temp files made no adverse effect to your system,
and then later delete. At least then, you will have a backup.
