Don,
I have 98se. I just go to "run"--msconfig. That gets me to the system
configeration utility. It is the startup list that I am refering to. I'm
over the registry fever now......... I've had my little play around in
there... with oobies of help from Cajun. Those programs are not hurting
anything well, they can't....because they are not there. It just looks
mucky.

Depends on where they are located. If in your startup folder in the start
menu you can simply delete the shortcut icon from the menu. If it is in the
registry under CURRENTVERSION\RUN you can delete the keys in the registry.
BACK UP YOUR REGISTRY FIRST!!!!!
Or you can run a utility like Norton's One Button Checkup that will identify
those invalid registry keys and fix them.
