I'm glad you explained this! It brings back memories - of my winME system. I always got those messages when I had winME - among other problems! I was re-booting twice a day to keep it running!! "Stack Overflow" has been around since the days of MS-DOS. It's an age-old, cryptic error message that you hardly ever see, these days. To put it [very] simply, not enough memory has been assigned for a certain task, and the system goes belly-up as a result. If you are running Win95/98/ME, try adding the line "MinSPs=8" to your SYSTEM.INI file, then reboot. When the system has restarted, try your best to push IE to the limit! If you don't receive the stack overflow anymore, that shoud have done the trick. Increasing the size of your page file wouldn't hurt, either. If you are running XP or 2000, the stack overflow message in Internet Explorer is more indicative of a comprimised system. An active Denial of Service attack will attempt to reallocate memory in an attempt to crash the system. Make sure you have a firewall up and running, and visit www.windowsupdate.com ASAP to get all the security updates.
