Maybe, maybe not.  I don't know if belarc looks at the physical card that is 
installed or looks at the driver that is installed to determine what you 
have installed.  I would expect it to look at the card.  If it looks at the 
card, I think whether belarc would see the card might depend how badly the 
card was improperly seated.  I would save checking the card until you've 
tried everything you think is easier or safer to do.

Did the sound ever work and it just quit or has it been out since the 
computer was new?
